Redesigning Animas Orthopedic Associates' Website
In preparation for my internship, it became apparent to me that this seemingly modern practice had an out-of-date website. The website was functional and did what it needed to, but could be hard to navigate, was displeasing to the eye, and had outdated information. If someone were to choose a practice based off of the website, which is a common thing to do, Animas Orthopedic Associates (AOA) would have trouble gaining new patients.
A website conveys a lot about the practice and provides crucial information needed to make a rational decision on which doctor is best for your needs. However, if a website is not an actual depiction of the practice, revisions should take place. Here's where I come in. Since I had practice with website design from creating my digital portfolio (what you're reading right now), I offered to update and redesign the AOA website as my project. Although my previous project idea was vastly different, this project was much more beneficial.
I have completed the new and improved website, however, it has not been made public because the practice needs some time to look over the website and see what changes still need to be made as well as communicate with the website owner to plan a website transfer. This new website contains updated patient and surgeon information, easy access to different sections, the new logo, and a more current appearance.
Below are a few pictures of the old and new website for comparison.
